Questions
Can I use Simplified and Traditional Chinese?
Yes. Switch scripts in settings for the journey, dictionary and handwriting practice.
Which HSK curriculum is included?
The new HSK 3.0 vocabulary: 11,000 entries across levels 1–6 and the combined advanced levels 7–9. Lessons are organized into 550 chapters.
How does character mastery work?
Guided practice builds familiarity. Mastery requires successful writing from memory on separate days, without hints. Every character has its own level and progress bar.
Can I write freely in the diary?
Yes. Write or sketch on a blank page, or plan your words with the dictionary before handwriting them. Tap-to-lookup works in planned entries; freehand pages are not read or recognized.
Does the app work offline?
Handwriting, the HSK journey, diary and bundled dictionary work offline. Optional pronunciation uses your device’s speech service; voice availability and network use depend on that service.
What happens when I change devices?
Export a .mmwriter backup and import it on your new device to restore your diary and progress. A PDF book is a separate export for reading and printing. There is no account or cloud recovery service.
